I’M HUNGRY

Swirling in my belly
like a river with a roar
this hunger for you Father
will open up the door

this heaviness from desire
to search out your very heart
for this very reason
your word will never part

from my lips and mind
for you’ve sown it with a passion
your signature is written
and its read closed caption

when I feel you near me
not that you ever go away
my body’s consumed with electric currents
for your love pours forth in waves

the fire and the water
entangled in my soul
the light that is within me
the reason that I’m whole

no longer walking around
dead and incomplete
you’ve ordained all my steps
the path beneath my feet

it’s all yours daddy
now the grave awaits me
as you rise up my new man
our love goes beyond crazy

parables and mysteries
your speaking to me steadily
pouring down the revelation
I can’t wait for what lies ahead of me

I’m hungry Dad and yearning
to be fed from your very hand
my mindsets are all turning
my heart is all you demand

I could go for hours
writing poetry to you
for you speak to me endlessly
with words of love so true

so I’ll end upon this verse
I’m hungry and I’m filled
pour into me and pour me out
the nations all need healed

here I am your vessel
that vessel I prayed to be
now use me as you wish
I know you see I’m hungry.
