SALT OF THE EARTH

Matthew 5:13
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”

Salt has many powerful significances in the scriptures. Jesus could have said you are the “trees of the earth” the “grass of the earth” the “water of the earth” and all would have made more sence then saying “salt of the earth.” But in the realm of the spirit salt is very powerful and Yeshua didn’t mix words when He said it.
The Greek word for salt is the word halas which speaks of wisdom and grace exhibited in speach. Paul, in Colossians 4 said that our speech should be with grace seasoned with salt. Meaning its a people that release God’s grace (or provision) through the release of salt (wisdom) of God. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2 that he speaks the hidden wisdom of God in a mystery (musterion in the Greek means the secret councils that govern God in dealing with the righteous that is hidden from carnal wicked and un-Godly men). Meaning the salt is the wisdom of God revealed. It is the mysteries being revealed….So when Jesus was saying you are the salt of the earth- He was saying that you are what sprinkles the earth, you are who will reveal Christ to the World!!!
A deeper understand God revealed to me was when I searched the Hebrew word for salt, which is melach.
This word is 3 Hebrew letters put together: Mem, Lamed, and Chet…Me-La-Ch… Each letter has its own powerful meaning, in which God allowed me to see a deeper meaning of who we are as the salt to the earth. Each Hebrew letter has its own word…
Mem=water, Mikvah or immersion, purification
Lamed=teaching
Chet=hovering or overshadowing, also a door
(briefly) the Mikvah speaks of purification by water. Eph. 5:26 Christ will cleanse His bride by the washing of the water by the word.
In Jewish culture…Mikvahs are built into the ground and filled with 120 gallons of rain water (or living water) Deut. 32:2 “let my teaching fall as the rain.” Let my Lamed fall as the rain into the Mikvah… the space in the earth to put water… that’s you!!! You are the place where God wants to make room in and put rivers of living water!! Gen 26:22
Again the word lamed means teaching..Deut 32:2 “let my teaching drop as the rain”.. this speaks of revelation from above that cleanses us and causes us to give birth to the things of the spirit..
John 3:3 born from (or born again) means born from above… as the rains come down… it begins to purify us and impregnate us with revelation from heaven.
Chet means to hover or to overshadow…the bible says that the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and impregnated her with Jesus… who is He?… The WORD… meaning she was born from above.. hallelujah!!!
Again, when Jesus says you are the salt… He is saying you are a Mikvah that will begin to wash and cleanse people. You will release the rain of revelation to a people…
Its only gonna come by a people willing to give all to God…
But if you lose you savor, meaning if you become foolish to this revelation, then HOW CAN THE EARTH BE SEASONED? How can the earth get cleansed? How can the earth get revelation from above????
