It's time for this ministry to step it up another notch, and really move forward with what God is wanting us to do and accomplish for the end times which are upon us, so we are establishing a corporate day of fast for those directly involved in this ministry and supporters of this ministry. This is NOT a short-term fast... this is to be an on-going (permanent, perpetual) fast and needs to become part of our regular weekly routine as Believers.
Every Monday will be the day we fast as a corporate body. And this is to be a WATER-ONLY FAST (no food, no juice, no pop, no snacks). Every healthy adult can easily survive on water for one day. In fact most of us in America that live on the "Standard American Diet (SAD)" can go for weeks (probably months), on water only!
There are only a couple acceptable excuses for not being able to water fast every Monday:
#1 - You are already on some other kind of fast... In this case, please use your judgment as to whether or not it would be wise to include this fast as well.
#2 - You have some sort of medical condition or you are pregnant... In this case, please consult a physician before starting to fast.
Now, not only are we calling everybody to a one day water-only fast every Monday, but we need to start making even greater sacrifices in other areas of our lives as well. So please consider what other 'things' you can fast for a day as well. Here is a partial list of possible things you can also fast on Mondays:
- TV; Movies; Video Games; Music; Books; Computer; Internet; Chat/MSN/Instant Messaging; Facebook/MySpace; Email; Cell Phone; Texting;
This list is certainly not all inclusive, so feel free to pray about what 'idols' you have in your life that you can choose to fast from.
This corporate day of fasting is not a suggestion... we are not asking you think about it... we are asking you to take serious role in taking the Message the Lord has given this ministry, to the nations. By serious, we mean no stuffing your face at 11:59pm on Sunday night and then having a fork full of food heading for your mouth as the clock strikes midnight on Monday night. By serious, we mean have your Sunday evening meal and then continue your fast thru to Tuesday morning at breakfast (notice breakfast is two words: break + fast).
And also remember to always check with a physician before starting to fast if you have any kind of condition that may be of concern.
