THE GREAT COMMISSION

Matthew 28: 19-20: “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”
Colossians 1:28-29: “28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.”
After reading these two passages, we see the Lord’s genuine desire: HE WANTS DISCIPLES! HE WANTS DISCIPLES! WHY?
Luke 6:40: “40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”
HERE IS THE BLUEPRINT OF THE REPRODUCTION OF CHRIST IN US.
Everyone that is PERFECT, meaning, having reached the maturity SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER.
Let’s read these verses also.
Luke 14:25-27: “25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.”
Here we have two distinct groups of people: the multitude and the disciples. The multitude was following Him because they saw Him perform miracles, they saw Him heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, set the captives free, etc… However, none of them can become like Yeshua. You cannot be capable to do the works He did unless one becomes His disciple, unless one takes up His yoke upon him. (This was a familiar expression in the schools of discipleship, which meant that one was to submit to the teaching of a master and none other)
The multitude could be healed through the authority and the power of the character of Yeshua, but it could not manifest any further, they could not heal others like Yeshua, unless they would become His Disciples.
Let’s not forget: EVERYONE THAT IS PERFECT SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER. Nonetheless, today, most are happy to benefit from the spiritual gift of others. Should we exact it from them? NO! Everyone cannot be a doctor, but we need doctors to heal the sick! Only one way, someone has to devote himself to medical studies under masters in order to attain an approved training and be acknowledged as such.
We know that Yeshua spoke to the multitudes in parables, because they were not able to understand, they were blind and deaf and their hearts were dull. The people were healed by the power of Yeshua, by His authority. In contrast, the disciples were nourished with the mysteries and secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven because they were predestined to be as their Master. Since He ruled and reigned as King, the disciples had to be taught the secrets of the Kingdom so they could rule and reign alike. The characteristics of a king are to possess the knowledge of the mysteries:
Isaiah 23:15 says that the lifespan of a king is 70 years. The number 70 is symbolic of the number of nations and 70 is also the numerical value of SOD, the secret. The number 70 corresponds to the letter Hebrew letter ayin, the 16th letter in the Hebrew Aleph-Beit which speaks of the eye. In Matthew 6:22-23 Yeshua says that the eye is the light of the body, but if the Light that is in us is darkness, how great is that darkness (because of the veil). We reign through the knowledge of the secrets. The Hebrew word Mashal, which means to have dominion and to reign, also means parables and proverbs. As long as the eye of the king remains open to the parables and proverbs, he shall live and he shall reign. When Babylon saw the secrets of Hezekiah, His reign was assured.
It is the glory of kings to search out the Scriptures (Proverbs 25:2) (To reveal the secrets) In Luke 10:24 Yeshua said to His disciples that many prophets and many kings had desired to see His day, because He is THE SOD, the hidden SECRET.
John 1:14: “14 And the Word was made flesh…”
The flesh is the veil. In fact The Dabar, the Word had been veiled, covered by a veil, though the secret was before them but they could not see it because their eyes were blinded. Moses had seen this mystery, hence why he put a veil; he even announced unto them the coming of Yeshua in Deuteronomy 18:18. But it is only at the cross that Yeshua is revealed, it is only at the cross that the secret is revealed.
The multitude will remain blind because they come to be rescued, delivered and not to become disciples.
Only the disciples, those who pick up their cross, those who submit to the instruction of the Master, shall have an “apokalupto”, a revelation, a removal of the veil and then they shall be like Him, being transformed in His image. In reality we reflect His image only according to the manifestation of the revelation of which we can testify. We know that there are two categories of people: the multitude and the disciples; however, “Dunamis” power has to be manifested on the multitude, the creative impact for the disciples to be called out.
John 6:30 “30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?”
It is in the midst of the multitude that miracles are performed, the works of Christ. Let’s not forget that Yeshua has come and keeps on coming to save (sozo in Greek) the soul, to give salvation to the soul (soteria in Greek). And so right in the midst of the crowd Yeshua heals the sick, casts out demons (Acts 10:38) The Mashiach is anointed to do good and to free all who are oppressed. The teaching of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven is what will transform us to resemble the Master and enable us to do greater works. Yeshua did not say: “Go and Make” to the multitude but to His disciples. However how will you go if the nails have not pierced your feet? How will you work if the nails have not pierced your hands? He cannot delegate nor send those He has not formed, those who have not been His disciples!
Yeshua is not here personally, but He has ordained ministries to carry out the mandate to perfect the saints, the training of the disciples. The Apostles and Prophets in particular are the administrators and stewards of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why Acts 2:42 declares: “42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship….”
The church needs to welcome again the True Fathers. Revelation 2:2 : “ …..and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars…” It is the apostleship that can change the status of a man or a woman. The apostles had to be the first to sit at the feet of Yeshua, to His service.
They were First the servants (Luke 17:7-10), then the friends (John 15:15) because of the revealing of the secrets, to end up as brothers (John 20:17), because now they share in the Inheritance.
For any training there has to be the impartation of a basic time. Yeshua accomplished 3 years and 6 months of ministry. And it is only at the end of this time that the 12 disciples became the 12 apostles.
In this era, the reading of the Torah spanned a period of 3 years; this would start and end at the feast of Simcha Torah, the rejoicing over the Torah which took place on the seventh month at the close of the feast of tabernacles (the eighth day) and six months later, is the month of Nissan, the first month of the year, which is the new year of the kings.
All of this to say that the objective in training a disciple is to make him a Master, able to equally impart the divine knowledge and even better to raise up a king able to do good and set the captives free. To sum it up, He wants to send you as Messiah to the world, being of His Seed. Christianity has regressed in many nations because Christ no longer reigns in the midst of the multitudes. Here is the goal, the reason for the impartation of the mysteries of the Kingdom to disciples. The knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven crowns you “king”.
As it says in Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers…I mean by this: “Effectively, you who for some time now ought to reign…”
Consider Simon who became Peter whose shadow was sufficient to heal the sick, consider Saul who became Paul who turned Asia upside down, consider Joseph the Levite who became Barnabas whom the Gentiles named after their god Jupiter, yes the next one is you!, if you have adhered to the right school, to the service of the one who would teach you the Word, who unveils the scriptures to you, your Forerunner through the veil which is the knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Those of us, who have been granted the privilege to hear and receive the impartation of the mysteries of the kingdom, must understand the responsibility which is ours. The quality of tomorrow’s leaders of the church depends on us who are the stewards of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Let us labor more and more to the works of the Lord on two fronts: in the midst of the multitude and towards the disciples who will side with our party. Before the sun sets in the horizon, new suns will need to rise and shine in the midst of the nation and be carriers of spiritual and physical healing!
