DESCRIPTION: There were two different types of Torahs: the written Torah and the oral Torah (or oral Traditions). In the NT, the Pharisees and the Torah teachers had a problem with what Jesus and his disciples did on the Sabbath. They said that 'He was breaking the Law/Torah'. If this were true however, then He could not be the Messiah! Prophet Mike shows us what Jesus was breaking, was the oral Law/Torah of the Pharisees. Jesus was interpreting the written Torah the way it was supposed to be interpreted, and was abolishing their oral traditions. Even the multitudes took notice of what Jesus was doing. Matthew 7:29 "For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes." |
