| DESCRIPTION: In this powerful teaching, Revivalist Michael Petro reveals just what the Keys to the Kingdom are and how one would take hold of them. Mathew 16 verse 13, Jesus asks his disciples, "who do you say that I am?" In verse 16, Simon-Bar Jonah states that he is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. In a subsequent verse, Jesus changes Simon's name to Peter (meaning the Rock). He was surnamed just as a bride does upon getting married. Jesus states that it was His Father in heaven who gave Peter that revelation and that "Upon this Rock I will build My Church." The rock that he is building his church upon is revelation. After Peter's revelation, Jesus gives him the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven to loose the rains of revelation. Revivalist Petro then defines the term "keys" and explains that the function of these keys is to unlock revelation from heaven. The root to the word Torah, the first five books of the Bible, actually means rain. In Deuteronomy 32, verses 1 & 2, God defines the rain as revelation or true doctrine. It all begins with the keys given by our Lord Jesus Christ. If one possesses these Keys to the Kingdom, they also have the ability to unlock and receive the blessings spoken of in Deuteronomy 28. In Luke 11:52, Jesus rebukes the religious leaders of his day for taking away the key of knowledge. Not only did they not enter in themselves, but they hindered those who were entering in. The Lord is now restoring these keys to His Church so she can walk in the blessings of the rain.
